Soul Purpose July 3, 2009

Soul Purpose, based in Georgia, is steeped in a true soul/R&B tradition that offers the audience a combination of dance hits and soulful sounds from the '60s to the '80s, with an occasional tune from recent/current pop charts. With 11 members, including a four-piece horn section, they regularly cover tunes by such artists as Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Marvin Gaye and Gladys Knight.
