SONGWRITER IN RESIDENCE - JOSH BEEMISH

7pm
All ages
Free admission

Come out to the fog for a night of firsts and surprises. Victoria Victrola's first foray into the foggy cafe. One of Obstacle Course's first shows since he moved to the bay area. And I will be playing a set of new and very old material on my myriad instruments.

Victoria Victrola

... Visually stunning performance art fronted by Victoria Victrola, Victoria and the Vaudevillains' punk cabaret sound ranges from soft and pretty, to claning, banging piano rock.

Many of the lyrics read like poetry, telling woeful stories of strange creatures, love lost, regret, revenge and blood. And of course, zombies.

They might eat your brains. They might kill faeries.
They will certainly give you a reason to dress up.

Coffee shop campfire acoustic music. Ryan Clark prefers to let his music speak for itself.

-Play-
As soon as I find a way to unwind
I'll be feeling fine
Taking the right steps
Releasing things we've kept
For far too long
Just like this line, we've been waiting in all night
We could have a good time
Leave all your worries behind
Forget fast forward pause or rewind
We could have a good time
Waiting for something more
Until there's nothing left to look for
You wait, for anything at all
While trying not to slip or fall

Josh Beemish will be opening and closing this disco, party, fooling around, picking and grinning as usual with his banjo, guitar and assorted other music toys in tow. There will also be merch for sale and in some cases barter, including his long running conceptual art project “trading cards”.
