DETAILS: Hunger for food, sex, acceptance, fame…and for true nourishment! Cabaret singer Belle Linda Halpern takes you on a funny, intriguing and profound look at our constant cravings, with songs that range from Tin Pan Alley classics by Gershwin, Berlin and Bernstein to pop anthems and Yiddish showstoppers. WHO: Community Servings provides free home-delivered meals to individuals in 16 cities and towns throughout Eastern Massachusetts who are homebound and unable to shop or cook for themselves because of critical illnesses such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, and diabetes. It costs just $5 a day to provide lunch, dinner and snack to each of our 725 clients, their dependent families, and their caregivers. Our goals are to help our clients maintain their health and dignity, preserve the integrity of their families, provide nutritionally and culturally appropriate meals, and send the message that someone cares.
