Something Positive Presents: Tribute - Celebrating Cheryl Byron June 6, 2009

On Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 7:30 PM at Kumble Theater at Long Island University, Something Positive will present their annual tribute to their founder Cheryl Byron, with TRIBUTE – CELEBRATING THE LEGACY OF CHERYL BYRON. The company will showcase “Sweet Nina Suite” a work in progress by Artistic Director, Michael Manswell, honoring the works of Nina Simone; the spectacular Carnival story “The Gift” written by Mr. Manswell and choreographed by the company’s rehearsal director Sonny Salina; and Cheryl Byron’s signature piece, “Ancestral Chant."
