Solstice 2011: The Science of Soul June 18, 2011

The Maryland Science Center is putting the soul into Solstice with an evening of funky grooves, killer moves and delicious foods at its annual fundraising event, Saturday, June 18, 2011. Solstice 2011: The Science of Soul will feature nationally-acclaimed, 10-piece band Sound Connection, who will show off their chops while guests are licking theirs with gourmet buffets and signature libations – all overlooking the Inner Harbor waterfront.
Guests who need a few measure’s rest from dancing the night away can explore the Maryland Science Center’s hundreds of interactive activities at their own rhythm.

All proceeds from Solstice will help support the Maryland Science Center’s educational programs and outreach to Maryland schools and the community.

Tickets for Solstice 2011: The Science of Soul are $105 for members, $125 for non-members. Non-member guests will receive a three month mini-membership to the museum with ticket purchase.

Cocktail party attire is suggested—jackets encouraged, ties optional, and of course, dresses that impress. Valet parking will be provided.
