The Solid Blues Revue brings together blues greats Mavis Staples and Charlie Musselwhite. Charlie Musselwhite has been pushing the limits of blues for more than 30 years. He has performed with such greats as Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and Bonnie Raitt, and he has won six WC Handy awards for 'Best Blues Harmonica.' Mavis Staples' legendary voice and history are already etched in the annals of popular music. A distinguished songstress and Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Mavis' vocals helped provide the spiritual soundtrack of the 1960s civil rights movement. Today, she continues to bring her gospel-based music to audiences around the world. Joe Krown performs on the piano. The Allstars' music has been described as world boogie, a combination of bluesy rock with some alternative jams thrown into the mix.
