Solid is one of Norway's premiere organ trios, comprising three of the country's finest young jazz musicians. Solid takes the guitar/organ/drums format, so rich in tradition, to new levels with their interplay, inspired improvisations and original compositions. The band is made up of guitarist Bjorn Solli, drummer Hakon Mjaset Johansen and organist Daniel Formo. They were voted the best "Young Jazz Musicians" in 2002 by the Norwegian Jazz Forum and the Norwegan Concert Institute. They also won the grand prize in the Getxo International Jazz Contest in Spain in 2003. The trio has released two albums with critical acclaim.
