SOFIA GUBAIDULINA at REDCAT May 15, 2011

Sofia Gubaidulina, one of the greatest living composers, makes a rare U.S. appearance for a four-program festival that showcases her expressive mastery.
The Sunday afternoon concert features works written for children, but enjoyable by all. The program will include an animated film –“The Cat Who Walked by Herself” (1988), “Musical Toys” (1969), and “Dots, Lines, & Zig Zags” (1976), for bass clarinet, piano.
