The University of Salford is proud to host the next meeting of the Society for Research in Rehabilitation. The society is a lively, multi-disciplinary group whose members share the principal goal of carrying out and promoting high quality research to develop effective, relevant and forward-thinking rehabilitation practices that will improve the opportunities available to people with acute and chronic disabling conditions.

The Society is the leading organisation for rehabilitation research in the UK and has over 300 members. It holds two scientific meetings a year, which offer symposia addressing specific rehabilitation topics, sessions for presentation of scientific papers and poster sessions.

Recent symposia topics have included Stroke Rehabilitation, Orthoptics, Nursing Research, Cognitive Neuroscience, Rehabilitation in Palliative Care and the NSF for long term conditions. The scientific papers are stimulating and cover a diversity of topics and a variety of research methodologies.

Who is the conference for?

This conference will provide an opportunity for anyone interested in rehabilitation research to meet and share the latest research and consider how it can be implemented in to clinical practice.
