Downtown Women's Club-Boston Social Media Workshop for Digital Immigrants

Most of us in the workforce are "Digital Immigrants," meaning that we didn't grow up with technology like our Generation Y colleagues (full-fledged "Digital Natives"). As a result, we can often feel overwhelmed by the technology that we know we can no longer ignore if we want to stay current in the workforce. This is why we created a hands-on workshop that walks participants through most major social networks and internet tools explaining how people are using them both personally and to market and brand their businesses.

Join Diane K. Danielson, CEO and founder of the Downtown Women's Club, and learn how to use RSS feeds, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and blogging for business. Also find out:

The lifecycle of a Web 2.0 story.
Why the first 5 words of a press release are the only ones that matter
How to monitor your online reputation.
Why they keep misspelling "Digg" and "del.icio.us."
Is it really a wiki, wiki world?

Bring your laptop (arrangements may be able to be made if you do not have a laptop - if we have enough advance notice).
