DJ’s K la Rock, The Pinstriped Rebel and Junebullet of The First Ladies DJ Collective will guide the class through the step-by-step process of DJing basics. Learn the fundamentals of DJ equipment, mixing and general song structure. Blending, fading and counting beats in phases will all be part of the curriculum. Become familiar with common terminology used in the industry such as cueing and releasing.

About The First Ladies DJ Collective
K La Rock, The Pinstriped Rebel, and Junebullet (aka Kristina Gray, Les Talusan, and Maegan Wood) co-founded the First Ladies DJ Collective in 2002. Dedicated to promoting and empowering female DJ's,the group broke barriers on and off the dancefloor. The First Ladies played host to the long-running Girl Friday dance night at the Black Cat and rocked crowds from DC to Berlin. Since then, they've each gone on to perform at numerous clubs, private parties, and community events. Together, they have led numerous DJ workshops, classes, and private lessons, bringing over two decades of DJ experience to women of all ages and backgrounds.
