Class Overview:

Our 2-part introductory class is designed to give you a foundation of skills and techniques that will immediately improve your photographic skills. We won't bore you with complicated technological terms and you don't have to have a fancy camera.

In Part 1, we'll be reviewing what to look for in a camera, what the settings mean, and how you can make them work to your advantage. We'll talk about how to avoid red-eye, getting natural reactions from your kids, and how to have images with impact.

In Part 2, we'll cover some basic editing techniques, and focus on what to do with all those images stuck INSIDE your camera and computer (storage, backup, printing, and other options). And you're invited to bring in some of your favorite photos you've taken for a friendly critique and some Q&A.

Each workshop is just $35, if you pay for them separately.

What to Bring:

• Your camera and its manual

• Pen and Paper for notes (recommended)

• A Laptop Computer with editing software (recommended but not required for Part II.)

Who We Are:

Stefanie Blue and Nikkie Achartz met in 2007 while training under the same photographic geniuses Rod and Robin Deutschman. They found that their styles and personalities complimented each other and so they partnered with each other on various projects before deciding to merge their two companies together to form BlueFlair Photography in January 2008. Since the fusion of BlueFlair Photography, Stefanie and Nikkie have grown tremendously in both reputation and style. They have been recognized for their portrait work at the San Diego County Fair for the last 3 years and they were recently featured as the official photographers for NBC Throws a Wedding at the Prado!!!

Stefanie and Nikkie are grateful for the recognition of their work and maintain that all their accomplishments are directly related to their continuous education in the field of photography. The two hone their skills by studying with local, national, and international Master Photographers whenever they get the chance. Most importantly…they LOVE what they do!! They’re known for the PASSION they share for all things related to the art of photography.

On a more personal note, as parents, Stefanie and Nikkie understand how hard it can be to take great pictures of your own children. Though they strongly believe that professional portraits should be taken annually as a way to formally capture and document the growth and changes that all children go through each year, they also believe that there is a lot of story to be told in between those times. That is why they started S.N.A.P. (Shooting Naturally Artistic Pictures), to give YOU simple ways to improve your photographic skills to capture those special moments every day!
