More than a band, the group is a caravan, whose shows include live art and sounds that veer from jazz to bluegrass to swing to purely original instrumental sounds. Musically, Snake Oil Medicine Show defies every convention, practicing "creative anarchy". Songs are guaranteed to splash all over the musical spectrum. With a unique blend of influences, Mad Tea Party often find themselves between genres. They incorporate old-time jazz and early stringband styles, as well as psychedelia and vintage rock !n' roll.
