'Smooth Swing' Dancing Every Tuesday May 11, 2010

Tuesdays at 6:30pm Keith Barney will teach a 30 minute 'basics' lesson followed by 30 minutes of 'beyond basics' class and then a DJ dance until 9. The music played will be Pop and R&B. No partner required. We will have color coded name tags for singles. Meet new friends while getting exercise and learning a new skill. Our goal is to prepare beginners with the skills to be able to dance to slow, medium, and fast music and provide more experienced dancers with a consistent venue in downtown Frederick. Smooth Swing is a modern dance that ranges from smooth and sultry to dynamic and exciting depending on the tempo of the music. It incorporates movements from other dances such as Latin, Jazz, Lindy Hop, Jive, and Balboa. There is a $7.00 admission fee. A full dinner menu as well as a kids menu are available. There are TVs for your well-behaved kids and you will be able to see them from the dance floor. Cafe 611 is located conveniently to Hood College and has ample street parking.
