Marcus Combs was in HBO's "P. Diddy Presents The Bad Boys of Comedy," BET's "Comic View" and "Showtime at the Apollo. HBO's "Def Comedy Jam" and in Comedy Central's "Premium Blend"

Marcus Combs is hoping you won't be a turkey this Friday. He aims to wake you up from your tryptophan daze with some "Def Comedy Jam" style standup at TJ'S Night Life
"Hopefully people won't be full and lazy all weekend and won't want to come out," Combs said from his hometown of Chicago. "It's going to be really, as we call it, 'off-the-chain.' "
Combs' style is urban and edgy.
"Yeah, very edgy. I come from an edgy background. I keep it real, I talk about real life that I think no one has ever experienced before," he said.
It's not easy to give detailed examples of some of Combs' material in a family newspaper. There's that time when he, as a kid, saw his dad naked and ran to tell his brother about the bright future they had. Or the bit about facing the disrespect of a new girlfriend's kids, all who've come from a different daddy.
"Not too vulgar or too harsh, but true. And that's what I bring -- the truth," Combs said.
He'll talk about family, stories of his past and present.
"Most of the stuff really happened," Combs said.
He was born and raised on the south side of Chicago.
