"SMFA Traveling Scholars" March 28, 2009

On view March 28–May 3, 2009 in the MFA's Foster Gallery, "SMFA Traveling Scholars" showcases work by the seven recipients of the 2007 Traveling Scholarship Awards. Since 1899, the Museum School has awarded travel grants annually totaling $80,000 to $100,000 to select Museum School alumni and Fifth Year program students to aid in the development of their artwork.

Featuring paintings, installation, film, video, drawing, and sculpture, the exhibition culminates nearly two years of travel and artistic exploration for these artists and presents a diverse group of individual dialogues that connect to each other in unexpected ways.

Exhibiting artists: Nicolas Brynolfson, Matthew Paul Cleary, Daniel Dueck, Daniel Johnson, Timothy Andrew Kadish, John Osorio-Buck, and Lauren Warner.
