SMASH TV (LIVE PA)

Diskotronik with B-PITCH CONTROL's Smash TV (LIVE PA). Berlin's Smash TV will bring its 8 bit madness to the Bay Area on June 9th. The Berlin electro wunderkind, who let his b-boy roots shine with multiple releases on Ellen Allien's Bpitch Control imprint, will control the room. Smash TV's sound can best be described as early Prince being buggered by a vintage Atari 2600 video game console - the name actually comes from a vintage arcade stand-up machine from the 1980's. Smash TV's notable releases include the 2004 full-length Bits for Breakfast, which boasted diverse styles from retro-esque electro to idm, but always stayed dance floor-worthy, never devolving into glitch-schlock. Catch some of the hottest sounds straight-outta Berlin. blasthaus residents Kelly B and others TBA support.
