Smart Marks- Bookmarks for Recycling October 7, 2011

Our Girl Scout Troop will be creating recycling awareness bookmarks. Prior to producing bookmarks, the girls will learn about recycling.

1. They will discuss the effects of recycling
2. They will make piggy banks out of recycled materials
3. They will create recycling bins out of cardboard boxes and collect materials to take to the recycling center
4. They will tour Smurfit Recycling Center on October 28th
5. They will create bookmarks for production
6. The bookmarks will be printed and the girls will distribute them throughout Anchorage.
