"Slamming Stories" NYC Storytelling Slam @ LPR - $50 1st Place Prize! January 27, 2012

The Inspired Word performance series is totally excited to present the first of what will be a regular event, Slamming Stories. Hosted by actor/comedian Erica Bradshaw.



So if you think you're a great storyteller, here's your chance to prove it. And if you're the best of the night, you win $50 + a free drink!



Should be a blast!



Here's the way the night will work:



There will be one round, 25 slots. The slots will be determined on a first come-first serve basis.



Guidelines: Your story must be original. It must be true. And it must be five minutes or less.



A full point will be subtrracted from the cumulative score if the storyteller goes over the five-minute time limit by more than 10 seconds.



Each storyteller will be judged by five judges. The storyteller's high and low score will be dropped and the middle three will be added together for the finishing score.

The person with the highest score of the night gets 50 bucks and a free drink.
