Slade Fan Convention (All day 12:00 noon - 11:00pm) April 15, 2006

To celebrate 40 years of SLADE this all day event opening at midday will allow Slade fans old and new to mingle meet up and generally enjoy the atmosphere whilst enjoying the day's events.

On display during the day will be replicas of key Slade-related items including;
Noddy's Mirrored Hat,
Superyob Guitar, [signed by Dave Hill],
?2000 replica of Jim Lea's original Gibson Eb bass guitar
A genuine pair of Don Powell's [taped and used] sticks
Dave Hill "Superyob" outfit and more.

Playing continuously during the day will be classic Slade footage and films, including some real SLADE rarities, some clips not having seen the light of day since first broadcast on TV in the 70's and 80's
During the afternoon [approx. 4pm] there will be a performance by the UK's Number One SLADE tribute band, the renown FLAMIN' SLADE. Appearing in "Ambrose Slade style, braces and boots" outfits, FLAMIN' SLADE will play rarely-heard early Slade material including "Martha My Dear" "Dapple Rose" and also "Know Who You Are" and others from the "Slade Alive" and the "Play It Loud" albums. This is a one-off not to be repeated performance of these songs.
In the evening FLAMIN' SLADE will play a two hour + live set of ALL the Slade chart hits in full "Earls Court /Top of the Pop's /1973" glamlook. Platform shoes, Mirrors, Flares, Glitter, Stripes and mad hair-do's will abound !Tracks included in the evening performance include:
