Skyline Comedy presents "Holiday Hoots Food Drive" November 4, 2009

"HOLIDAY HOOTS FOOD DRIVE"

This holiday season Skyline Comedy aims to generate more than mere laughter within its walls. Starting Nov. 4, the comedy club kicks off its first-ever “Holiday Hoots Food Drive” to benefit the Salvation Army in Appleton.

For each Wednesday performance through the end of December, Skyline’s individual admission is simply – “Donate Two non-perishable food items…OR…Pay normal price for admission” – where HALF of Skyline’s net door proceeds will be donated to the Fox Valley’s Salvation Army.

It’s truly humbling and amazing what this organization does to help feed local families in need year round. In 2008, they distributed 739,564 pounds of groceries! (Each month it donates about 61,630 pounds of food.) Which goes to 28,985 needy residents in the Fox Valley. For Skyline, there’s no better way to give back to our wonderful community than when area residents are out enjoying a break from the mid-week grind with some stress-free entertainment. And while Skyline guests get to enjoy top-notch comedy at a fraction of the cost, they’re giving right back to the community.

The Valley has supported us for 15 years, and we want to take an opportunity to support its residents … Skyline believes no one should go hungry, or without holiday cheer.
