The quintessential sounds of hip-hop are just one feature of this effervescent documentary charting the rise of hip-hop in Australia: the music, the dance, the fashion, and the message.

Skip Hop draws the audience along with its top rocks, up rocks, rhyming, and especially the bravado MC battles, and explores the popularity of hip hop amongst b-boys, primary school children, and young women alike as an avenue for self-expression. As the film says, there are no how-to manuals when it comes to hip-hop, so b-part of the movie crew.

Following the screening there will be a Q&A with Oriel Guthrie, Director of Skip Hop.
