Sizzle and Swirl - Cooking Class & Wine Tasting 6/18 - Seattle June 18, 2010

Parties That Cook and Woodhouse Family Cellars invite you to "Sizzle & Swirl," an exciting evening of wine tasting paired with a hands-on cooking class. Admission includes wine tasting and pairing with a menu of international appetizers.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted with a nibble and glass of wine. A tour of the winery will follow, including explanation of key steps in the wine making process.

You'll then be treated to a lively introductory cooking lesson by the Parties That Cook chefs featuring tips such as the fastest way to dice an onion without a tear. Working together with other guests, you'll cook up an array of gourmet appetizers designed to pair with the wines. Each team will work on a recipe from the evening's tapas menu, all while sipping wine and listening to upbeat music.

When the dishes are ready you'll relax and have a chance to enjoy the "fruits of your labor"! After the event, we'll email you copies of the recipes and digital photos.

June 18 Menu:
Spring Lamb Skewers with Mint Chimichurri
Crostini of Mascarpone and Orange-Braised Fennel with Honey
Batter-Fried Green Beans with Spicy Ponzu Dipping Sauce
Mini Shrimp Po Boys with Bacon Mayonnaise
Lettuce Cups with Gingery Pork and Shiitake Mushrooms
Raspberry Streusel Bars with Brown Sugar, Oat and Pecan Topping

*We limit each event to 40 guests
*Vegetarian options can be accommodated with 5-day advance notice
