Sixth Annual Sisters of Fire Awards November 14, 2004

The Women of Color Resource Center will honor five leading women for their spirit of creative resistance at the Sixth Annual Sisters of Fire Awards celebration. Join WCRC for brunch on Sunday, November 14 from 11am to 2 pm at the North Oakland Senior Center (5714 Martin Luther King Jr. Way Oakland, CA.) in a ceremony honoring boona cheema, Lakota Harden, Virginia Harris, Aileen Hernandez, and Yolanda López. The ceremony will also feature an update report on Count Every Vote 2004 along with a performance by Dimensions Extensions, a youth dance group trained in jazz, modern, hip hop, ballet and traditional African movement.
