The Site Stewardship Program works to restore habitat for threatened and endangered species at special restoration sites in Pacifica and the Marin Headlands. Learn about local ecology and natural history while improving habitat for the Mission blue butterfly, the San Francisco garter snake, the San Bruno elfin, and the California red-legged frog. Projects involve a combination of hands-on work and short natural history lessons. Meet at Fort Mason, Building 34S, San Francisco, at 9:15 AM; carpools to work sites are provided. Phone 561-3077 to RSVP and for more information.
