The theme will be American Wines with some of the best wines from California, Virginia, Oregon, Washington, Maryland and more! We will do our best to have wines from as many states as possible! You will learn from winemakers, winery representatives, importers, distributors, and wine pros who will be on hand to pour wines and help you learn more! Tweet about each wine and see which ones are the night’s favorites!

GiraMondo Wine Adventures,

a premier wine event company in the national capital area teams up with WineTwits, an online community of 48,000 strong wine enthusiasts who tweet, to bring an online, fully interactive wine tasting in the DC area.

Sip & Twit™ blends together the traditional world of wine tastings with new media and technology.

The room will be set up like a traditional tasting, with stations featuring wines from around the United States. Representatives from major wine labels and GiraMondo Wine Ambassadors will be on hand to educate and inform.

Whereas a typical tasting involves attendees busily scribbling in notebooks, Sip & Twit™ participants will be able to ‘tweet’ their tasting notes and thoughts as they walk around the room. The tweet-feed will be simultaneously broadcasted locally to plasma screens around the room and globally to the online community utilizing the technology of our partner WineTwits.
