This week enjoy dinner at Tremont 647:

"“There’s always a party” at this “funky”, “hip South End eatery” where chef-owner Andy Husbands’ New American comfort food exhibits a “surprising” amount of “inventive”, “tasty” “twists” for being so “reasonably priced”; the revelry spills over to next door’s “exotic-drinks” retreat Sister Sorel and extends to the “great patio”, especially during “fabulous”, “fun” weekend brunch service when the “warm” “servers dress in their PJs.”" - Zagat.com

"After several years, Andy Husbands’ contemporary South Ender just keeps chugging along, and his regulars are always up for the ride. Its success is due in part to its true neighborhood character: energetic and sassy from the open kitchen to the long, narrow dining room, dimly-lit in a hue of pale mustard, to the slightly sleeker adjoining lounge, Sister Sorel. From the weekend pajama brunch to the seasonal dinner menu, Husbands' and crew's characteristic eclecticism impresses. Husbands was a pioneer of high-low fusion, and it's still evident in signature items such as the “stinky cheese” plate with black truffle honey and the Fontina-filled tater tots accompanying grilled steak. Speaking of grilled meat, he’s also a known entity on the barbeque competition circuit, so have at those ribs with cornbread and slaw. At times, the juxtaposition of cool Asia and the deep-fried South seems haphazard---but most of the time, Husbands’ touch is as firm as it is playful. Now if only he’d bring back the breakfast pizza!" - Gayot.com
