Single Stream Recycling Pilot Project November 5, 2011

Single stream recycling pilot at Sardis and Flowery Branch Compactor Sites only. Non-paper packaging and containers may be recycled mixed into a single recycling container with no separation required.

The following can be mixed and placed in the big green bins (please dump from plastic bags or collection bins and take home to reuse):
Aluminum Beverage Cans and Foils
Steel or Tin Food Cans and Aerosol Spray Cans
Glass food and beverage bottles and jars-- clear, brown, green and blue
#1 -#7 Plastics Bottles and Tubs-- remove all lids and empty container
examples:
Soda and Water Bottles
Milk Jugs
Laundry Detergent Jugs
Any Food or Cleaning Product Plastic Bottle
Margarine Tubs
Yogurt Tubs

NO plastic bags (grocery, bread, etc.)
NO expanded polystyrene (egg cartons, meat trays, foam cups, form-fit protective foam)
NO plastic children’s toys
NO lawn chairs
NO pool liners or shower curtains, etc.
