Author, songwriter, composer and successful performer, Sergio Caputo is back as a writer.
Disperatamente (e in ritardo cane) is an intriguing novel, a book that mixes autobiographic notes to immagination in order to tell a story that is very similar to the author's. Disperatamente (e in ritardo cane) (Mondadori, 2008) is a very enjoyable book, written with the same language and atmosphere that characterize Caputo’s most famous songs. It is a story that resembles his own: a well-known artist who escapes the jet set in order to dedicate some time to himself, and after an unusual series of events has to face major difficulties. Caputo uses memories and especially emotions and offers a real-life story filled with irony, drama and sensuality: “A little like life, in general. Not one only mark, but different moments…”

Sergio Caputo starts his musical career towards the end of the 1970s. It is after a few minor recording experiences that he releases his first album Un Sabato italiano in 1983, which is still considered a classic. Sergio’s style is influenced by jazz, Latin rhythms and an unusual and innovative literary language that is also influenced by everyday slang and urban neurosis.

Sergio Caputo will be introduced by Pier Forlani, Music Producer. The presentation will be followed by a live performance.
