Tickets are available to see Steve Lippia in “Simply Sinatra” on Tuesday, October 6th, at The Robert L. & Elizabeth S. Cole Auditorium at Richmond Community College in Hamlet. He is one of the country’s prominent vocalists and interpreters of classic pop music. The high impact, high energy show ranges from powerful to subtle, sassy to wistful, elegant to sublime. The performance features Lippia along with a 10-piece band.
Joey Bennett, Director of the Cole Auditorium, says, “The show is a rich, powerful celebration of some of the greatest music this country has ever known. I am sure that if you close your eyes during the performance, you will think ‘ole blue eyes’ himself is standing on the stage at the Cole.”
Lippia’s singing reveals a man who understands a lyric in a deeply personal way. His natural sound and style is a combination of his own honest musical interpretation combined with influences from some of the best singers of his era. His youthful, energetic talent and powerful show creates a perfect blend of “classic” with “today” and introduces a new generation to this timeless music, while appealing to long-time listeners. Lippia’s great voice, excellent stage presence, and charisma have thrilled audiences where he has headlined at major venues across the U.S.A. His repertoire includes such great standards as: “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “The Lady is a Tramp,” “Mack the Knife,” “Just the Way You Are,” and “That’s Life.”
