Praised by TIME for her “arresting freshness and subtlety” American pianist Simone Dinnerstein reached international acclaim with the success of her recording of Bach’s Goldberg Variations. Slate magazine called her “a throwback to such high priestesses of music as Wanda Landowska and Myra Hess.” For her Modlin Center performance, Dinnerstein will perform Chopin’s Nocturne for Piano No. 8 in D-flat Major, Op. 27; Felsenfeld’s The Cohen Variations; Brahms’ Intermezzo, Op. 118, No. 2 in A Major; Bach’s Partita No. 2 in C Minor, BWV 826; Schumann’s Kinderszenen, Op. 15 “Scenes from Childhood;” and Bach’s Partita No. 1 in B-flat Major, BWV 825.
