You could never accuse “The Levellers” of being afraid of spin offs.
The latest “Simon Friends Seismic Survey” sees Simon Friend, guitarist / singer / songwriter, rekindling a musical partnership that goes back almost 30 years.

Roping in long-time musical collaborator Mick Doyle (Neverland) on mandolins and whistle, as well as guitarist Paul Miro (Apes, Pigs & Spacemen) and Andy Cooper (No Right Turn) on bass.
The foursome canter through a dynamic acoustic set mixing Levellers’ songs from the Friend pen (Believers; The Boatman; even a taster from their forthcoming album Static On The Airwaves) with material from the Miro songbook and a couple of Doyle’s Celtic-flavoured jigs.
It’s clear that the players are having a fine old time, audio sparks flying as they bounce spontaneous musical ideas off each other; the crisp sound highlighting every nuance of the performance.
