The Black is a country/pop/rock band from Austin, TX. The music flows from the songwriting collaboration of singer/guitarist David Longoria and guitarist Alan Schaefer. Formerly known as Worship, Headdress is the duo of Jebediah Coy and Jedediah Cook, who weave a tapestry of low-fi acoustics and vocals that reside somewhere between Jandek and M. Ward.

This San Marcos-based group features singer Joel Hofmann, bassist Jeff Lane, pedal steel, lap steel and dobro player Joel Weinstein and drummer Clay Rheinlander.
