So, here is the plan. The first tweet up will be on July 23rd from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at Rosie McCann’s Irish Pub located at the beautiful Santana Row in San Jose. There will be an extended drink special for all in attendance; free wireless and we’ll be raffling off an HP Mini Netbook (Win XP, 16GB SSD, 1 GIG RAM, 10.2″ LCD). To qualify for the raffle, we are asking a minimum donation of $5 or $10 to the Anissa Lopez Foundation.

About the Anissa Lopez Foundation

In 2006 our family suffered the loss of 2 year-old Anissa Lopez after a tragic choking accident. Before she left, Anissa introduced us to the wonderful people and amazing facilities at the George Mark Children’s House.

We started the Anissa Lopez Foundation shortly thereafter as a memorial and an opportunity for friends and family to support the George Mark House in Anissa’s honor. What started as a intimate family affair has grown into multiple fundraising events throughout the year.

The staff at George Mark made an unbearable situation bearable and we’re forever grateful that Anissa introduced us to this amazing group of people. Please show your support so we can help other families make the best of very challenging situations.

About the George Mark Children’s House

GMCH’s family-centered, life-affirming philosophy acknowledges the terrible stress a child’s serious illness places on every family member, and provides services to support parents and siblings, as well as the seriously ill child. The ultimate goal of the House is to assist families in remaining intact, functional and capable of achieving the highest quality of life together in the midst of extreme circumstances.
