'THE PATSY' - SILENT FILM SHOWING

Now a firm favourite in the Festival calendar, we're delighted to be showing this 1928 King Vidor classic with live accompaniment on Streatham’s best piano from the BFI's very own John Sweeney.
Chosen specially by the National Theatre's archivist Gavin Clarke, 'The Patsy' starring Marion Davies is one of the greatest silent comedies ever made. A hilarious plot, where a younger sister manages to gain the love of the man she idolises after making her favoured elder sister jealous.
