Silence, the 2006 Vancouver New Music Festival celebrates John Cage, an enormously influential composer, writer, artist, teacher and contemporary thinker, who changed the course of music in our time. Cage lived for most of the 20th century and the broad range of his work and interests reads, looks and sounds as diverse as the times he lived in.
