A fresh face to Canada’s music industry, but certainly not a novice. Signe Jakobsen, former front-woman of Calgary band Minervah, penned eight songs on Minervah’s “Everybody’s Naked” released in 2000 with TGO Records. Her song “Insatiable” still receives regular airplay on several commercial radio stations in Canada. After hooking up with talented Montreal producer Arijit “Jit” Bhattacharya last fall, Signe’s been busy recording her debut solo album. Not too keen on making us wait any longer, Signe now presents her enticing, soulful vocals and catchy song-writing on her EP release “Se-na” (June 2006) which offers a small taste of what’s to come on her upcoming album “Beside Myself” to be released Winter 2007. Her live performance is not to be missed.

Award-winning singer/songwriter David Hein's high-energy acoustic rock and soulful ballads have earned him a strong following and placed him in the Canadian Finals of the Emergenza Festival. In New York, he worked in a Muppet Recording Studio, working for Sesame Workshop, Jim Henson, and Disney. Called one of "Toronto's hidden gems" by Chart Magazine, Hein's music and infectious live energy have garnered him comparisons to Blue Rodeo, Counting Crows, John Mayer and Dave Matthews. His songs are urban, short stories about lost loves, lost travelers and lost time but paired with open, optimistic promises of change. In October he released his debut CD, "North of Nowhere", produced by Juno-award winning producer Joe Dunphy and featuring Tim Bovaconti (Ron Sexsmith), Lyle Molzan (Jann Arden) and Greg Johnston (Canadian Idols). Since then, he has toured across North America, sponsored by Rent-A-Wreck, in a bright yellow VW bug - a tour which will finish in Montreal at this show. Come hear David's stories from the road as well as tunes from his well-received CD. For more information
