Speaker Biography:
Hans-Werner Sinn is Professor of Economics and Public Finance at the University of Munich. He is President of both CESifo Group and IIPF. He received his doctorate (1978) and Habilitation (1983) from the University of Mannheim. His recent publications include Can Germany be Saved? The Malaise of the Worlds First Welfare State, MIT Press (2007).
