SIFF Quebecois: Everything Is Fine May 24, 2008

An impressive directorial debut redolent of the work of Larry Clark and Gus Van Sant. When four of Josh’s friends die simultaneously the 16-year-old seeks bonds with a grieving father and a buddy’s girlfriend. Somber yet energized by a clever flashback structure and galvanizing performances, this is a sterling addition to films exploring the lives of today’s youth.
