Sidi Goma: African-Indian Sufi Music and Dance May 6, 2009

The Sidi Sufis, Muslim mystics who are dedicated to the African saint Gori Pir, preserve a rich tradition that is almost unknown outside their community. The Sidi Goma ensemble, which has already fascinated European audiences with its intoxicating rhythms and acrobatic and ecstatic dances, will be touring the US for the first time this fall.
