Formed at Arizona State University in 1983 The Side Street Strutters are rooted in the musical traditions of early New Orleans Jazz. The Strutters’ vast repertoire encompasses over half a century of this uniquely American art, from early Dixieland and Blues to timeless classics by George and Ira Gershwin and the exhilarating swing of Benny Goodman. The ensemble’s entertaining show features a colorful stage set and costumes, tap dancing and vocalists, novelty numbers and rare and unusual musical instruments.

While the Strutters offer their award-winning musical arrangements, personable humor and showmanship, Ms. Collins brings her experience of singing with greats like Burt Bacharach, John Tesh and Julie Andrews sharing her sassy yet sultry personality, radiant stage presence, and soulful voice. Together these artists create a performance of timeless melodies and establish themselves as a permanent part of the American cultural landscape.
