PopLife has been Miami's hottest Saturday indie rock happening for more than five years
and is responsible for bringing the best national acts way down south where they normally
wouldn't even think of plugging in. They're on the DJ roster for our WMC Block Party along
the street in front of The District (http://www.nytimes.com/2005/01/09/fashion/
09BOIT.html?oref=login) in Miami's Design District on Thursday March 24th, so you can
think of President's Day Shout! as a mini version of that.

Ursula 1000, a fellow Miami ex-pat, hasn't only made himself a staple on the DJ scene
here in NYC, but he also helped define the Poplife sound. We've known him since 1993 (!)
when he would open up his band Twenty-Three's shows with killer DJ sets, so we can
attest to this guy being the real deal (as if that needed to be said).
