A one character comedy by Willy Russell about a woman who decides to follow her dream. Shirley Valentine has reached bottom. Middle age has struck. The children are gone and the husband is boring and bored. She talks to the walls and also does the dialogue for the people she is talking to. Then, a friend wins a trip to Greece for two and invites Shirley: without the husband, an idea that seems shocking initially. But she does it and her life is changed forever.
