Sherry Shealy Martschink served in the South Carolina House of Representatives, the Senate, and as Workers' Compensation Commissioner. She earned a B.A. from the University of South Carolina, a J.D. from Charleston School of Law, certification in International Commercial Arbitration for studies at Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria, and received an honorary doctorate from the University of Charleston.

A contributing writer to See Mom Run, Sherry writes a weekly newspaper column and previously created crossword puzzles for Sandlapper magazine. She has two children's books and two other books in the works.

She has been a radio talk show host, a clown, a live trivia host, school teacher, and more. Sherry has spoken to groups all across the U.S. and has played the piano for programs from Chicago to Phoenix to Miami.

The mother of three and grandmother of two, she and her husband, Karl J. Duppstadt, live in Summerville, SC, along with her mother-in-law, "Bubba".

Sherry is grateful that her family members don't pick up the ham with their fingers--at least not in public.

Charlie Vaughan is from Caracas, Venezuela, but lives in Greenville, SC, with his wonderful wife and two beautiful daughters. He has always enjoyed art and anything creative.
