Shels showcase progressive, cinematic soundscapes and raw brutality. Shels’ live lineup has featured members of Eden Maine, Mahumodo, and Fireapple Red. Shels play a different brand of post metal - their music offers a wider palette of sounds than your usual ISIS/Neurosis/Pelican post metal bands. Delicate guitar picking and thunderous drums intertwine with with heavily melodic strings and pianos, sparse vocals and powerfully distorted arrangements of guitars.
