You don?t need to worry about airport delays or remember your passport to enjoy a holiday in Sheffield City Centre next summer. Such was the success of last year?s summer holiday weekend that the event returns to the City Centre on 19 & 20 August 2006. The event is free and full of activity for all to enjoy.
The Peace Gardens will once again be transformed into a sandy beach complete with sand, deck chairs, buckets and spades. There will be all you would expect at the seaside including donkey rides, brass band, puppet show and a landtrain.
Themed seaside activity will also spread to other areas of the City Centre including Fargate (?The Pier?) and Tudor Square (?The Prom?). And what?s more you can even enjoy a ride on a land train between the ?beach? and the ?prom?!
