The Toronto based band Shakshuka-Jaffa Road is coming to N.Y. May 2nd and 3rd. (www.jaffaroadmusic.com)
Friday, May 2nd, 10pm at B.J and Saturday May 3rd, 9 pm at the JCC Manhattan.
The music for the oneg is Shabbat loveliness-sweet and juicy.
The Shakshuka set for Saturday night is gentle and rich, rocking and danceable all within two sets of mixed Global Grooves-
with lyrics sung by Aviva Chernick in Ladino, Hebrew and English.
We are playing as a five for this visit, picking up with New York percussionist Mark Katsaounis .
