*** Benefit for Parkinson Center of Oregon at OHSU (PCO) & Parkinsons Resources of Oregon (PRO)

The public is invited to shake, rattle, and rock 'n' roll at the Kennedy School as several great bands come together to heighten awareness of early onset Parkinson's Disease and to benefit The Parkinson Center of Oregon at OHSU and Parkinson's Resources of Oregon. Signed CDs will be available at the event, with profits going to PCO and PRO. In the words of the organizers: "There'll be a whole lotta shakin' goin' on!"

BLUE MOON HIGHWAY
A typical Blue Moon Highway show has the band drawing from a catalog of traditional country music, bluegrass, jazz, and blues. Toss in rock & roll and R&B favorites. Unapologetic about its country leanings, the band balks at being pigeon-holed in one label or genre, describing what it does as "Country music...and then some."

SISTERS IN CRIME
Sisters in Crime -- Kate Mann, Paula Sinclair, and Reina Collins -- brought down the house at March's Lucinda Williams Tribute Concert in Portland. Each a talented solo artist, together only since December 2007, this talented trio will steal your hearts with their original tunes, covers, and -- above all, their killer harmonies.

WAYNE RICHARDS & SOUTHERN NIGHTS
Wayne Richards & Southern Nights are as smooth as they are funny as they are talented as they are original. Fronted by the conge-nial, irreverent, hilarious, gentleman singer-songwriter Richards, the band features an earthy blend of Richards' inimi-table narrative Americana tunes with a few choicely selected covers.

MIRIAM'S WELL
The songs of Miriam German -- leader and namesake of indie country & soul outfit Miriam's well -- throw you inside rattlesnake country 'til you find love lost in a ditch by the side of the road. You get Black Crowes meet The Allman Brothers meets June Carter Cash.

KEN DeROUCHIE BAND
The Ken DeRouchie Band is a 9-piece Soul/R&B/Funk band featuring a 3-piece horn section and a massive rhythm section, performing origi-nal music written by Ken DeRouchie as well as a few handpicked classic Soul tunes. Top players from the Northwest join DeRouchie, including long-time KDB bassist Rob Busey, virtuoso guitarist Jeff Knudson, keyboardist Wayne Thompson, two-time Grammy nominated drummer Steve Moretti, Clayton Daffron on tenor sax, Caleb Denison on trumpet, and vocalist Erika Sullivan.

SWEETJUICE
Take the acclaimed acoustic duo Adam + Kris (Adam East and Kris Deelane), plug 'em in, add bassist Daisy and drummer Jason Mockely, and voila, you've got SweetJuice. Pouring out the tunes since 1999, this band still has A + K's pungent harmonies and vocal interplay but sweetens the pot with juicy riffs on British Invasion, punk and New Wave, squeezing them into the what the group promises is the "rock 'n' roll of tomorrow."
