'Shadowlands' is an unexpected love affair between author and Oxford don C.S. Lewis and Joy Gresham, an American poet dying of cancer, is the subject of this well-traveled play by William Nicholson. Martin Charnin directs a cast led by Broadway vet Shelly Burch and Dan Kremer, who enlivens the rather staid production with his compelling portrayal of the brilliant, emotionally repressed Lewis.
