RJ Avallone and Matthew Maley have been creating music together for 10 years. Meeting at Boston’s Berklee College of Music the idea for Search was born. Their early jazz education was spent in the company of artists Clark Terry, McCoy Tyner, Andy and Jerry Gonzalez, Danilo Perez, Justin DiCioccio, Dave Santoro, Jay Hoggard, and Eddie Palmieri. Together at Berklee the pair of New Englanders studied, preformed, and toured the country with student and faculty ensembles lead by Phil Wilson, Greg Hopkins, George Garzone, Lin Biviano, Frank Tiberi, Joe Lovano, Michel Camilo, and a host of others. The two split ways for 2 years performing with Michael Buble´, the John Allmark Jazz Orchestra, Bobby Short, Pattie Austin, Cab Calloway Orchestra, Charnette Moffet, Natalie Cole, WDR Big Band, and toured Europe and the Caribbean. In 2006 they reunited to form Search. Tickets are available at the door or by calling (860) 482-6801. Hors d’Oeuvres will be provided, and patrons are encouraged to bring their own wine or spirits.
